Sample Letter (or email) to Potential Sponsors Just cut and paste the following:
Dear You may have heard about the One to One sponsored treks - through the Negev, across the Sinai, to Petra, the Eilat Mountains and the Judean desert - to raise money for the One to One Project. What you may not have heard is that I am going to be one of the trekkers! The One to One Project provides direct support to victims of terror, disadvantaged immigrant families in the Middle East, homes for street children in Moscow, Kiev and Odessa and a remedial pre-school for children with special needs in South Africa. The treks are the ultimate challenge. We will be trekking for .........days. The lack of creature comforts, the hot days and the cold nights will add to the challenge, so we'll certainly be working hard to earn our sponsorship money. This is where you come in. I'll be doing the trekking, but I need you to be one of the people doing the sponsoring! Obviously, the more money I raise, the more families and children One to One can help. So, please be as generous as you can. Your sponsorship will be greatly appreciated by everyone associated with One to One. I need to raise a minimum of £...... in sponsorship contributions well before the trek begins in order to ensure participation. I hope you will be able to sponsor me and would be grateful if you could let me have your contribution as soon as possible. Cheques or charity vouchers should be made payable to One to One, registered charity no. 801096. Don't forget to return the attached Gift Aid form, this enables you to deduct any donations from your taxable income and allows One to One to claim an extra 28p for every £1 you donate! Thanking you in anticipation
